
StartUpNation was promoting the first annual ranking of America’s best performing home-based businesses. To gain exposure, they wanted to attract major sponsors to participate in the promotion; companies that would appeal to both professionals and entrepreneurs.
We built an entire interactive city to showcase all the Home-Based 100 winners and their business profiles. We then integrated sponsors Microsoft, Southwest Airlines, and Dell within the environment, positioning their brands as neighbors of the successful entrepreneurs. With custom designed skyscrapers and an airport for the sponsors, we developed in-promotion testimonial ‘minisites’ and ran a separate instant win game for each sponsor within the city. Integrating their brands beyond just a logo parade positioned Microsoft, Southwest Airlines and Dell as trusted partners of small businesses everywhere. And America’s best home-based businesses found a new home of their own.
