Turning an interactive kiosk into
a virtual product demonstration
Overview
Sylvania needed an interactive way to display their 'Dot-it' line of touch-activated micro lights inside Walmart stores. Selling such unique new products would take both demonstration and suggested usage, both of which presented obstacles inside a retail environment.
We developed a sensor-activated kiosk concept that let consumers interact with Sylvania's new products, and provided usage suggestions for each. Consumers could activate any and all of the Dot-it lights to see how each could brighten their lives. The kiosks were featured in Walmarts throughout the Southeastern U.S. and resulted in a significant increase in sales.
