Using social media as a game show platform

Overview

Entering its third year of product launches, Ubisoft was facing significantly greater competition. Unfortunately, the budget couldn't fund a paid media battle.

Our strategy was to leverage social media and promotional tactics to more efficiently distribute content, bringing game show fans into the excitement for a chance to win, without the luxury of a huge online media spend. We created new playable games for GameShowVideoGames.com, then recreated four trivia-based game shows on Twitter, and even launched a nationwide casting call on YouTube to discover the first 'social' game show host. We then created promotional videos for the site starring our new YouTube celebrity.
