Overview

To promote an upcoming movie about banjo maestro Bela Fleck's musical pilgrimage to Africa, we designed an iconic identity featuring a hand-drawn banjo and lettering, inspired by the musician's tour of the continent--the birthplace of the instrument. We then applied the identity to the film's marketing materials including the poster, website, DVD, and apparel. The site and identity went on to win a number of awards while the album picked up a Grammy.
